Medicine skill can restore drain of a Prime. In an application of medicine, a competence roll is made with a threshold of {8 + (2 * Drain of the Prime)}. A successful check removes 1 point of this drain. If a prime has been drained too far for a normal application of medicine to cure it, then bed rest may be the only option.

A creature's medicine skill must be equal to or higher than the Prime's drain to properly tend to the creature taking bed rest. While tending to such a creature, the Prime's drain is restored at a rate of 1 per sun. The caretaker may eventually be able to take care of the rest of the drain through normal medicinal application after sufficient bed rest.
