Refocus allows a creature to regain some focus in the middle of combat quickly. The Refocusing stance can be used if the creature's focus is below their refocus skill. At the top of each round that the creature has been in Refocusing stance, they gain back 1 focus. A creature that uses no focus between 2 meals recovers its refocus skill in Focus in that amount of time, even without using the stance.
